An inscape garden in Wokingham, approaching 1/3 acre, designed and landscaped to include an office with a view and an outdoor seating space nestled among naturalistic planting for cosy sun downers, a large lawn to kick the ball and layered ornamental borders to frame the ornamental lawn. The contemporary garden room is accessed via stepping stones through immersive planting, creating a versatile space to work from home peacefully during the day and gather as a family to enjoy the late afternoon sun. 

Our approach included 2D and 3D exploration during which we created an integrated space within the broader landscape created by mature surrounding trees and utilising round forms echoing the crescent shape set by the existing house patio. 

Project was completed and planted in Spring 2026 with a large proportion of the planting choosen for its ability to tolerate drought conditions once established. 

A project close to our hearts, designed with biodiversity and sustainability at its core for a nature orientated family in Berkshire.  

This once bare 1/3 acre garden space was transformed into a sanctuary for people and wildlife alike. Naturalistic, resilient planting and layered habitats provide spaces for gatherings and quiet contemplation, while features such as orchards, perennial meadows and rain gardens enhance ecological richness and seasonal interest and a pool, sauna, fire circle and garden room to host family fun times. 

Our approach was plant led and at a landscape scale with 2D and 3D design development, creating an immersive space with well being areas, growing areas and habitats for wildlife, nestled among a matrix of naturalistic, biodiverse and climate adapted planting. 

Garden to be built in stages from 2026 on. 

This Hampshire garden design seamlessly connects indoor and outdoor living. Nestled among heathlands and woodland, it was redesigned to create more open views from the new kitchen and lounge extension, a more integrated space overall with opportunity for social connection and wellbeing. 

A landing patio connects an integrated jacuzzi and sun lounging space, the main lawn for family games and the dining patio with garden room. The dining area can be reached via stepping stones bordered by planting with a water feature creating a focal point and fostering a serene atmosphere. 

The design blends clean architectural lines and mixed contemporary materials, with lush and fragrant planting to form a retreat that is both serene and sociable. Garden built in Spring 2026. 

Transformed into a harmonious sanctuary, this large garden in Wokingham town centre, approaching 1/3 acre, balances tranquility with the ability to host enjoyable family and friend gatherings as well as spaces to kick the ball, a vegetable growing area, all seamlessly brought together by a soft, naturalistic planting style. 

A new patio partitioned into partly connected zones helps make the most of the sunlight through the day, from morning coffee to evening drinks, and provides a comfortable gathering space for family and friends, enhanced by soft planting that brings nature closer to the house. 

The borders were planted with vibrant spring and summer flowering plants, including sun-loving lavender, roses, and alliums in the front part, while the back incorporated more shade-tolerant plants, fostering a serene and inviting atmosphere. 

Garden was built in stages and completed in Summer 2024. 

This new concept design was developed to complement the beautiful character and stature of this contemporary family home in Berkshire, providing the owners with a vision for maximising their currently underutilised outdoor space. 

A welcoming, lightly partitioned patio space was designed to include a cozy seating nook nestled among lush plants for a morning coffee, a larger space for social gatherings, and a relaxing area with an integrated jacuzzi. 

Traditional materials such as limestone, brick, and natural timber were chosen to match the house interior and add warmth and interest, while varied elevations break up the space effectively. Ornamental trees frame the different areas, providing visual anchors, human height and seasonal interest. 

This garden in Wokingham was conceived as a tranquil haven, offering a peaceful, immersive retreat for a couple who want to enjoy their outdoor space in their retirement. 

Beyond the existing patio, the space was redesigned throughout using a plant led approach. Rooted in zen principles and softened by romantic planting, it weaves structure and serenity with scent and seasonal beauty. Nestled within lush planting, a wooden bench invites quiet reflection. 

Nearby, the soft murmur of water flowing over smooth pebbles introduces a calming rhythm, enriching the garden’s meditative atmosphere. Anchoring the surrounding borders, graceful Japanese cherry blossom trees create a living backdrop. In spring bloom, they mark a moment of renewal.

Designed to complement the frontage of a beautiful Edwardian home in Wokingham, this romantic and easy to maintain planting provides a classic evergreen structure to frame the house all year around while bringing joy and classic charm with an exuberant display of roses and alliums in the spring. 

A little later in the summer a composition of jasmine, lavender and repeat flowering roses brings a delicious scent to warm summer evenings, followed by Daphnes, filling the air with their gorgeous scent in the colder months. 

Garden completed in 2024. 

Designed for a couple looking to bring interest and biodiversity into a once bare front garden in Wokingham, Forged Wild is a long border shaped by time, resilience, and the quiet beauty of nature reclaiming its place in a post-industrial landscape where raw materials meet bold planting. 

Framed by Corten steel edging, it thrives in the contrast between structure and wildness with rich, rusted patina speaking of weathered history and transformation, echoing the marks of time and the steady return of nature. 

A raised border, both structured and free flowing, holds a dynamic and drought tolerant planting scheme, anchored by multi-stem trees and offering textural contrasts, warm hues, cooler blues, and self-sufficient species that soften the hard edges. 

Garden built in Spring 2025. 

A beautiful Berkshire family home, newly rebuilt, complete with a new driveway and a spacious patio in need of a new garden. Both the front and back gardens required rebuilding from the ground up, providing an opportunity to connect high end contemporary lines with neighbouring countryside. 

In the front garden, we incorporated three stunning mature olive trees donated by a family member and planted a drought-tolerant (once established) Mediterranean-inspired scheme to take full advantage of the sunny exposure. 

This included plants such as dwarf pines, chamomile, rosemary, lavender, roses, Achillea, echinacea, Erigeron, and ornamental grasses.
